Tibetan Peach Pie: A True Account of an Imaginative Life Free Audiobook Download by Tom Robbins

Tibet is the land of extremes. The Tibetan diet, when seen through the eyes of Tom Robbins, it is an extreme one. His diet is extreme because he only eats fruit and vegetables during most of the year except for a few months in-between where he eats meat exclusively. It's this kind of extreme that makes for fascinating reading about life and writing which makes for fascinating reading as well.

Tom Robbins based the short novel "Tibetan Peach Pie" on his own life. There are three key characters: a wise elder, colorful characters in the village, and Tom himself. All of them are connected by the elder's overarching philosophy that everything is one thought. The narrator said that as a result, "people don't know what's over the next hill or down the next valley; they only know what's good for themselves."

'Tom Robbins' is reading a story on the audiobook titled 'Tibetan Peach Pie: A True Account of an Imaginative Life'. The narrator, 'Keith Szarabajka', sings along in the background.

When a young Tom Robbins is asked to take care of his grandmother's peach orchard, he is excited at the prospect. He devises a plan to build a road around the orchard so that he and his friends can drive their cars in circles and have races, but Grandma has other plans for him, as she had done with her parents before her. Tom learns that the family history of this orchard is actually part of an extraordinary story told through generations, as well as an epic love story.
