Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, The Quandary Phase was a science fiction comedy novel by Douglas Adams. In this story, the Earth is destroyed, and the only hope for a new beginning is to travel through space in search of another habitable planet. However, Ford is really a native of the planet 'Ford Prefect' in the star system Betelgeuse.

A guide detailing all the different parts of the universe and their characteristics. It is an essential reference for all hitchhikers, as well as an entertaining read for any sci-fi fan.

Douglas Adams's Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, a quintessentially British science fiction series about "a group of aliens who happen upon Earth, just as humans are about to destroy it," was first published in 1979. The protagonist is Arthur Dent, an Englishman who has been blasted from his home planet earth with his friend Ford Prefect in order to get away from a race of alien men, known as Vogons, bent on blowing up planet earth for redevelopment.

The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy is an amazing piece of work. Douglas Adams, author of this book, has a wonderful way with words which makes for great story telling. The Quandary Phase starts off as a simple tale, but soon becomes anything but simple. At one point in the audiobook, the protagonist has to race against time to avoid being captured and killed by the Vogons before their next scheduled demolition.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is an irreverently witty, supremely intelligent series of adventures and misadventures, which can be enjoyed as a stand-alone novel or in the same way as watching a sitcom.
