Collapse is a unique insight into the history of how our ancestors made their way out of the caves and into tribal communities. The audiobook is narrated by Murney, who puts you in his shoes as he walks you through each chapter. You'll witness the transformation from hunter-gatherer societies to tribal groups, and finally to civilisations.

Collapse, the first book in Jared Diamond's "The World Until Yesterday" series, tells the story of a culture called the Polynesians who disappeared from the face of their island. The book explores how this once-thriving society was brought low by its own strengths. We're given insight into how a society can reach so much higher than it knows and fall so quickly when it starts to overreach.

Collapse is a book written by Jared Diamond. It is about the cause of societies that collapse and how it affects society. The messages in it are very important for individuals to understand what causes societies to collapse and how people react to it.

In the world's most comprehensive and persuasive answer to why civilizations fall, Jared Diamond cuts through the myths, misapprehensions, and misunderstandings that have led to decades of misguided theories about what caused society to collapse.

I've read and heard the audiobook of Collapse – Jared Diamond's eye-opening account of how and why societies fall. It's an important, though sometimes depressing read. I failed to get through it on my own a few months ago so I downloaded this audiobook and let me tell you, it was much easier listening to well-known actor Christopher Murney read the book than it would have been reading it yourself!

Jared Diamond is a scientist and award winning author who has written numerous books about the history of human cultures and their successes or failures. In his new book, Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed he discusses how societies in the past have collapsed due to environmental issues such as climate change, soil depletion and overpopulation. He covers topics such as the historical evidence for why societies collapse, what factors contribute to an individual's ability to recognize an impending societal collapse, and finally how society might be able to prevent future collapses.
