Black Love Matters: Real Talk on Romance, Being Seen, and Happily Ever Afters Free Audiobook Download by Jessica P. Pryde

"Black Love Matters" is an audiobook that explores love, Black women dating men of color, and more. The audiobook is narrated by four black women who have been in relationships with white men, and they share their experiences. They talk about how they were able to find partners who look like them and how their experiences have shaped them as people.

I was pleasantly surprised by the audiobook I got from Black Love Matters: Real Talk on Romance, Being Seen, and Happily Ever Afters by Jessica P. Pryde. The narrator is great, which made it easy to listen to the entire audiobook.

Black Love Matters is a must-read for anyone who has ever felt like they were being overlooked by the mainstream media and society when it comes to love. Written by Jessica P. Pryde, this book brings together short essays that are based on personal experiences of Black celebrities, who speak candidly about their lives and their relationship with love. Each chapter is an individual story that touches on different themes such as love in the digital age, what it means "to be seen", and how millennials are redefining monogamy.

Have you ever felt like you were in the wrong place? That your skin tone and your life experiences just couldn't match up with society's ideal of the perfect partner? You know that the person you're with isn't the one who will love you unconditionally, who will support and encourage you through thick and thin, but they are still willing to give it a go. Experience dating someone of another race/ethnicity through this audiobook written by a Black woman.

Black Love Matters: Real Talk on Romance, Being Seen, and Happily Ever Afters was a very interesting read. I found myself engaged into the book from the beginning as I listened to all of the different narratives that surrounded the title of "Black Love Matters". Each individual narrative was essential in giving insight to different views on what it means to be a black person and what they believe love should look like in this society.

Jessica P. Pryde has a lot to say about love and race: from dating in the digital age, to dealing with toxic people and the importance of being seen for who you are.
