Becoming Nicole is the true story of a mother and daughter who both struggled with eating disorders for years. The daughter, Michelle, had anorexia nervosa, while her mother suffered from bulimia nervosa. They both got better through hard work and dedication to their journey of recovery.

Nicole was a typical American girl who had always been involved in sports. After years of playing sports, she started to experience injuries and it became harder for her to continue playing. Nicole tried diets, but they did not work. After years of going through the torture Nicole decided to make a change when her sister told her about ketogenic diet. Nicole has transformed into an athletic Vegan, she feels better than ever and wants to inspire other people who have experienced similar challenges with their health or weight.

This is an amazing story of one family in America. Amy Ellis Nutt's journey and transformation from a life as a mom and wife to being transgender was an interesting choice for a book for me to read. I listened to the audiobook on my way back from work and found it very interesting, although I'm not sure I would have chosen to read this specific book had it not been for the audiobook.

Amy Ellis Nutt has a personal story to tell. In her case, it's not a story about her present life, but rather the transformation of her family during the first days of the Revolutionary War (1775-1783). It was more than two hundred years ago that Amy's great-great-great grandparents were living on the frontier in America. Her family and many others like them had just moved from Pennsylvania to what is now Illinois. They ran out of food and had no way to hunt for their meals other than going out into their fields where they could find deer and other wild game. The book details how this lifestyle led to a physical decline for her ancestors which lasted for generations until they died without ever knowing what happened to them.

Becoming Nicole: The Transformation of an American Family was written by Amy Ellis Nutt, and is a memoir about her transition as a transgender woman. This book is both inspirational and eye-opening to any reader, who has faced their own challenges with gender identity.

On the surface, it seems that Amy Ellis Nutt would never have discovered the things she did about her life. She grew up in a small farming community, surrounded by an uncompromising sense of certainty and stability. However, as she got older and began to compare herself with all of her friends who were getting married and having kids, she felt as though something was wrong. She realized that none of them had any idea how much they wanted these things until they actually experienced them themselves.
