An Innocent Baby: Why would anyone abandon little Darcy-May? Free Audiobook Download by Cathy Glass

Cathy Glass narrates this audiobook very well. She really captures the innocence and vulnerability of Darcy-May. The audiobook is a quick read that is perfect for those short 5 to 10 minute breaks or as an audio book for your commute or leisure time, which is what I chose to listen to it in.

This audiobook is about a little girl named Darcy-May who was left in an abandoned house to die when she was just a few weeks old. She was adopted by the author and her family and grew up without any contact between her biological parents. As she gets older, Darcy-May eventually decides to find out what happened to her birth parents and tracks them down using social media by posting pictures of herself with each of them.

The true story of how Darcy-May was saved from cold, lonely death and then adopted by a loving family.

Darcy-May was an innocent baby, a child without sin. She just wanted to be loved and taken care of. But there was no one in the world for her. Her mother had died, her father had abandoned her, and she was left to fend for herself on the streets of London. As Darcy-May grew older, she became more and more desperate for love and affection. At 16 years old, Darcy-May somehow found herself pregnant with a baby boy that she loved more than anything. Still, this wasn't enough for her...

Ten-month old Darcy-May was found lying on the bus stop bench, all alone and scared. Her mum has been missing for days, and Darcy-May is being told that she will be put up for adoption. When she finds out all of this, she runs away in tears, just as soon as she's discovered.

The narrator's voice is sweet, and her tone is matter of fact. There is no drama or tension in the story, which allows for a comforting read for young listeners. The story begins with little Darcy-May entering nursery school for the first time. She has just turned 2 years old and is excited to start playing with her friends. Her parents think she will be happier at school since it's less chaotic than home. A couple of months pass, and it seems like everyone else has forgotten about little Darcy-May. The children are busy building houses out of blocks while her mother looks on anxiously, worried that her daughter is becoming too sad to play. Other babies have come into the class to play with Darcy-May
