White Lines II is a story about two teens who struggle to keep their relationship alive while they help each other with some tough life choices. Sunny, the protagonist and narrator, has been struggling to find new meaning in life since her father passed away. She's never been much of a risk-taker and even though she feels like her boyfriend JJ might be the one for her, she still isn't sure if this love can last forever. When Sunny starts hanging out with Danger, another troubled teen from a different background, she finds a new lease on life. The two have found that they have more in common than just struggling with family issues and decide to help each other through rough times by acting as each other's cheerleader when needed.

Tracy Brown's second installment of her White Lines series is a story about love and loss. The narrator, Allyson Johnson, has been loved by her husband since they met in high school. When the narrator starts dating someone new, she continues to tell the story about their charming relationship over the phone and letters. After years of marriage and children, the couple are faced with a decision that leads to a devastating ending.

White Lines II: Sunny is the second novel in Tracy Brown's series of stories which follows the lives of a group of teenagers who have committed crimes and must now work for the police in order to pay for their crimes. They are known as "white lines", because they stand at the front of a crime scene, waiting for detectives to give them their next assignment. Sunny Johnson, a 17 year-old high school senior, was sent to prison after being caught with her friend Devon Butler with over 100 bags of heroin in her car. Now she has been released from prison and is working from behind the scenes trying to help find out who framed her.

Sunny is enjoying the rain, trying to pick up the pieces of her life. Her marriage has recently ended in divorce and she has two young sons - one on either side of her. It's been hard to get back up, but Sunny is determined to be a better mother. When she meets a man at school who claims he can help her navigate her new world, she's ready to believe him. But what Sunny doesn't know is that this man is far more than he appears...

The second installment to the White Lines series uses the same narrative style as the first. It follows Sunny, a girl who is on her way to visit her family with her brother and friend. They are running late and so they keep speeding down the highway. One of the other cars doesn't want to let them by, but Sunny's brother has his gun out and he won't take no for an answer. The car shoots back, though fortunately no one is hurt.
