As a fan of the Danish author Jussi Adler-Olsen, I had eagerly anticipated reading this thriller about a detective's discovery of a body that takes on a life all its own. The narrator is Scottish, and it seemed to me he gave quite an authentic voice to the protagonist, Police Chief Carl Morck, with his brogue and his attitude. I was impressed by how well Mr. Malcolm captured the pacing and tone of this novel with his narration.
