Sarah Hogle's novel, Twice Shy is a unique story about a young woman who has spent her life pretending to be someone she's not. When she meets the man of her dreams, she must decide whether to come clean or carry on the charade.

Twice Shy follows the story of a woman named Maurya, who has been married twice but doesn't quite understand why. In the beginning she thinks maybe it's because she's too judgmental or doesn't make enough money to be able to afford a second husband. But later on, she realizes that her first husband broke up with her because he couldn't deal with her growing independence and newfound ambition.

The book is about the trials and tribulations of a high schooler named Cecilia who is bullied by two girls. The two girls in question go to great lengths to make Cecilia's life a living hell which eventually leads her to gain new power and triumph over their torment.

In Twice Shy, Dorothy Dillingham Blue's narration of the story is well done. She has a great voice for listening to and capturing the dynamics of a story.

The narrator of the audiobook is Dorothy Dillingham Blue. This performance was wonderful and very well played out. The sound quality was on point and the reader's voice was just perfect for the story. The story was very interesting in terms of its plot and the switch between present day and old time periods.
