Too Good to Be True Free Audiobook Download by Kristan Higgins

Too Good to Be True is a novel by Kristan Higgins set in 2008. It's told through the eyes of Lacey, a thirty-something woman who has just lost her job as an assistant to the female lead of a prime-time soap opera.

"Never fall for something that's too good to be true," she says in her opening narration. There are a lot of things in life that are so amazing and fulfilling, that it seems impossible to believe they're actually real. But, sometimes when you work hard for something, your reward is even better than the promise.

A small town barber, who has been secretly taking care of his ninety-two year old father, has a chance encounter with a sexy widow and things start to change in this beautiful, heart-warming story.

The audiobook is narrated by [Xe Sands], a woman who's voice is both familiar and soothing. She has a smooth, deep sound that helped me to escape into the book and be able to follow along without any difficulty. Her voice was perfect for the main character, too. The protagonist sounded like a grown-up version of what I would imagine a fifteen year old girl might sound like in her head.
