Author Ryk Brown was inspired by the movie "Schindler's list". His story, "The Weak and the Innocent", has been described as a "creepy masterpiece" that should not be missed. The story follows a man living in rural Michigan, who is struggling to survive while both he and his wife are dying of cancer. He must decide whether or not to commit murder in order to save his wife's life.

The Weak and the Innocent has quickly become one of my favorite audiobooks. I listened to an advanced copy by Jeffrey Kafer and was completely blown away. It was a hauntingly beautiful story about an act that's impossible to forget, the aftermath and its reverberations, the long road home, and those who try to pick up the pieces.

This book takes us on a journey that is full of surprises, twists and turns. We find the crime scene, of course, and follow the detective as he makes his way into the minds of others to gain insight into what might be happening. The twists and turns keep your interest peaked through out this read.
