Elizabeth Tudor was the first daughter of Henry VII, born in 1509. She soon afterward married Arthur Tudor, Duke of Brittany and had five children, three of whom became kings: Edward VI, Mary I, and Elizabeth I. Despite her father's opposition to her marriage to Arthur, Elizabeth adored him.
A young woman, just entering adulthood, is trying to find her place in the world. As she struggles with the decisions of life and love, a man comes into her life who can help her understand herself and the choices she must make. The Tudor Bride by Joanna Hickson was an audiobook that enchanted me from the start! Even before I listened to it I felt like I had known this character for years. Joanna Hickson's writing style is both haphazard and intimate at the same time. You are brought into this story as if you have known these people for years and you can feel their emotions as if they were your own.
Maggie Mash is a well-known voice actor, who has narrated many audiobooks. Maggie's performance of the audiobook was fantastic! I loved going on the journey with her character and understanding the history of regency England.
