Darynda Jones has re-imagined the world of paranormal romance. Her books are set in a world where goddesses and humans coexist, leaving room for lots of fun and shocking twists. From the beginning, Twelfth Grave was one of my favorite audiobooks and that I usually don't listen to audiobooks at all. It is just one of those books that hooks you right away with its unique storytelling style and interesting characters, who seem to be part of a real life story instead of a book or something made up.

When snarky, darkly funny and sexy, Darynda Jones packs her punch with the best of them. This is not a book for the faint-hearted or those who want to stretch out their emotions. The story is kept fairly short, mostly because there's so much going on that you're always in the moment.

Twelfth Grave is a great audiobook for anyone who loves paranormal mystery. The story starts out with a woman who has been in a coma for six years and when she wakes up, nothing is the same as before. Now her memories are gone, she's no longer human and she's part of an ancient Egyptian society that doesn't exist anymore.
