It's been a long time since the bestselling Flavia de Luce series has had a new book. The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie is an audiobook that tells the story of Flavia and Brownie. It was enjoyable listening to this book with Jayne Entwistle narrating it. She did an excellent job and made me feel like I was listening in on all of Flavia's conversations with her friends/family
Flavia de Luce, who was raised by her aunt and uncle, is at the top of her class at Wychwood School for Girls. She's everything a proper English girl should be: she doesn't use slang, she knows how to curtsy, and she's never kissed anyone besides her parents. That all changes when a new student transfers to the school who is not only the most charming boy Flavia has ever met but he also happens to be an heir to a great British pie company. Now Flavia is juggling strange cases of missing pies, unusual ingredients in other pies, and even human body parts that have been found in bakery dumpsters.
