Christine seeks help from the police and begins digging into what happened, but soon realizes that there may be much more going on than meets the eye.
The Stolen Hours is a short, contemporary and riveting story about the advertising business. It revolves around Tess, a young woman who sets out to create her own brand that she hopes will catapult her to success. Her life takes a turn downwards when she stumbles upon the truth about her advertisements, and she must find a way to right the wrongs to salvage what little life she has left. The Stolen Hours is an engrossing read with great characters that manages to be both entertaining and thought provoking.
The Stolen Hours is a gripping mystery novel revolving around three characters on a seemingly normal college campus who find themselves caught in the middle of an evil plot. It is a good story, but it takes its time to develop and really get going. It's not that I didn't enjoy listening to The Stolen Hours; I did. I just felt like with this title that there should have been more action right off the bat.
The Stolen Hours is a short story told in the form of a series of telephone conversations between Jacob and an unknown woman. Even though it has a rather quick introduction, the story is one filled with suspense. Within this story, Jacob tries to find out who has been calling him in order to see if they have any idea on who his tormentor is. Jacob also divulges some information about himself as well such as his time as a lawyer and his theory on why he's been targeted by this person. I like the way Allen Eskens writes because it makes me feel like I'm right there with Jacob throughout the entire book.
The Stolen Hours is an audiobook about the author's year-long journey across America in search of lost time and memories. He takes a cross-country trip from his hometown of Cincinnati to Portland, Oregon, only to find out that he is losing more than just years as he goes.
Allen Eskens's "The Stolen Hours" is a suspenseful crime novel set in the sleepy town of Savannah, Oregon, which was once a logging and milling hub. This historical, musical thriller has received rave reviews for its gripping plot, wonderful characters who are flawed but also relatable and the beauty of it's prose.
