The Silent Sister: A Novel Free Audiobook Download by Diane Chamberlain

Diane Chamberlain's latest novel, The Silent Sister, gives readers the chance to step into the shoes of a woman dealing with the aftermath of domestic abuse. Anna is a thirty-year-old who has been living in silence for so long that she can't even remember what it feels like to be happy. When her sister invents a way for women to talk without getting men mad, Anna decides it's time to open up about her past and start healing.

Susan Bennett is the narrator of The Silent Sister. She is a successful author who has written more than 100 books. One day, her sister Elizabeth is diagnosed with breast cancer at age 42. Susan uses her talent to help Elizabeth write a book about their family history full of secrets and drama.

The Silent Sister is narrated by Susan Bennett. In the opening scene, Susan is attending her niece's wedding and talking to her sister-in-law, who she has never met before. We learn that Susan's mother died of breast cancer when she was a teenager, and months later her father died of the same cancer.

A story of daring love and redemption from the bestselling author Diane Chamberlain. In this powerful, page-turning tale, two women find unexpected friendship, a way to heal the wounds of their pasts and the courage to face their futures.

The Silent Sister is a compelling novel about the relationships between three sisters: one who struggles with chronic depression, one who has Asperger's Syndrome, and their mother. Diane Chamberlain explores the complexities of family life and the long-term effects of mental illness.

Like many people, I have been a Diane Chamberlain fan for years. I first found out about the author through a friend and listened to her first two novels while I was driving back and forth to work. The Silent Sister is my favorite of hers so far. It is told in alternating points-of-view between two sisters living in another country with their father when he was a war reporter for the BBC. The story follows them as they grow up, become adults and watch their father die from cancer.
