This is Clive Cussler's most recent novel and he has written another bestseller. The Rising Sea tells the story of a rogue submarine captain, who is determined to find the lost Navy submarine USS Cyclops, which vanished nearly 50 years ago while patrolling the North Atlantic during nuclear weapons tests.

The Rising Sea is the second book in Clive Cussler's Oregon Files, and the first one to feature his fictional protagonist Dirk Pitt. Here, Cussler incorporates a modern take on pirates, who plunder ships of their cargo - today it's oil instead of gold and gems.
