The Republic of Thieves is the second book in Scott Lynch's Gentlemen Bastards series. The first was Lies of Locke Lamora, which I loved and thought was perfect. I couldn't wait to read the sequel and I'm glad that I did. The Republic of Thieves had me laughing out loud many times and I also felt a little heartbroken for Locke in a couple of places. It's not just an adventure story, it's a romp through the minds of thieves, con artists, and some other weirdos who have to figure out how to make a living in this new world order where everything is worth something.

Michael Page is a masterful narrator with the perfect voice for each character. The Republic of Thieves is an amazing story that will keep you entertained and on the edge of your seat.
