The Queen's Assassin is the first book in the series, which has been compared to The Hunger Games due to its popular young adult novel status. The main character, Tessa Gray, is a teenager who becomes embroiled in the dangerous world of the supernatural when her brother disappears under mysterious circumstances and she learns that London-born Tessa is part of a long line of families chosen to hunt down dangerous creatures called demons. This series is one of my personal favorites that I recommend for anyone who enjoys YA novels.

This is the first book in the series, which follows sixteen-year-old assassin, Charlotte Stuart. After a court case against her goes horribly wrong, Charlotte finds herself on the run with her best friend, Helen. They make their way to the United States to seek refuge but they are not safe from the Queen's assassins. These assassins hunt down everyone who has committed any crime related to Charlotte's past and leads to many deaths along the way.
