The Paris Seamstress Free Audiobook Download by Natasha Lester

This is one of the most beautiful and uplifting novels I have read in a very long time. The Paris Seamstress tells the story of two women, Gisele and Marie-Claude, through alternating chapters.

The Paris Seamstress is a fascinating novel of a young woman's journey to Paris in the early 1900s. The heroine, Penelope Rawlins, goes from being a well-to-do girl in London to being an impoverished seamstress to be part of the burgeoning fashion scene in Paris. There are many twists and turns along the way, so it's hard to believe that Penelope has any chance of getting herself out of her situation and back home.

Natasha Lester has taken some time to produce a novel that is not only enthralling but also educational. The Paris Seamstress by Natasha Lester audiobook download is an emotional, fast-paced story of love, obsession and the pursuit of fame.

This book is definitely worth a read; the protagonist Penelope is fighting for her family and livelihood in Paris during WWII. Penelope's story is told in flashbacks, which makes it all the more difficult to read. Interspersing the chapters with from memory snippets that make mention of her husband, daughter, and grandson makes this novel even more heartbreaking as you realize how quickly time passes and what was lost with each chapter.

The Paris Seamstress by Natasha Lester is a tale of love, loss and destiny. This is not my usual genre of read but I decided to give it a try and I was hooked on the story right from the beginning.

Natasha Lester has beautifully captured the story of Parisian seamstress, Mademoiselle Maubert, who is trying to make a life for herself as a fashion designer. She's got stars in her eyes and hopes and dreams in her heart. But when she falls head over heels for a young nobleman, all seems lost.
