The Lawnmower Man: And Other Stories from Night Shift Free Audiobook Download by Stephen King

Stephen King's stories have been adapted into a number of popular films, but that doesn't always equal a good adaptation. There are some great adaptations out there, but not all of them. With the exception of The Lawnmower Man and It, I found this audiobook to be mostly disappointing.

The Lawnmower Man and Other Stories from Night Shift narrated by John Glover was the first audiobook Stephen King ever wrote, published in 1982. Most of the stories in this collection are about an author named Will who writes horror stories for a living but has trouble selling them. The narrator, John Glover, is also an author who writes horror stories and his tales are perpetually rejected as well.

"Night Shift" was the first collection of short stories by Stephen King to be published. The book contains eleven tales, including "The Lawnmower Man," "Firestarter," and "The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill."

The Lawnmower Man is a 1977 horror-fantasy novel by Stephen King. The novel, an allegorical narrative about one man's struggle to create and control the perfect lawnmower, was written as a deliberate parody of John W. Campbell Jr.'s 1938 novella Who Goes There? In 2009 Night Shift was adapted into a film starring Timothy Hutton and Bruce Davison.

'The Lawnmower Man' is a short story that follows how the protagonist, Paul, meets with a strange man in his apartment who offers him a strange device. After trying it out, Paul somehow becomes addicted to using the magical device and soon afterwards has started to mow lawns for money.

The Lawnmower Man is the audiobook version of Stephen King's short story collection "Night Shift". 'John Glover' does a great job with this, and the other stories from this work have been just as enjoyable.
