The Last Suppers Free Audiobook Download by Diane Mott Davidson
The Last Suppers is the final installment in the Kate Shugak series, which follows a single mother and werewolf on her quest to find justice. It is narrated by Barbara Rosenblat.
The Last Suppers is a story of love and overcoming the odds. Diane Mott Davidson uses her signature humorous style to portray the unlikely romance between Beverly Henderson, a talented chef whose cooking skills have landed her a fabulous career in New York City, and Victor Dixon, a man who's been out of work for seven years after suffering a massive stroke that left him with the most severe limitations. When they meet at the hospital, they find they have much in common--they're both single parents and they share an interest in cooking--but neither one expects anything more than friendship to come from their initial meeting...until fate intervenes when their paths cross again months later after something drastic happens.
This is the perfect book to read if you like audio books that contain a lot of the story rather than just the narrator. I loved this book, and the narrator did an amazing job reading it.
In The Last Suppers by Diane Mott Davidson, the title refers to a lavish dinner that was given for the last night in a hotel. Barbara Rosenblat is going on this adventure of a lifetime with her three best friends who she hasn't seen in years. At the dinner, they are introduced to the new owner of the hotel and his wife; they have been dating for six months. This book is full of adventure and mystery as well as romance.
It's not quite clear how to finish the story, when they jump out of the car and run into a field. In fact, it's not even clear if he is chasing them or simply trying to keep them in sight.
The Last Suppers is the fifth book in the wonderful 'Sara' series by Diane Mott Davidson. The series (which includes 'The Preacher's Wife,' 'Hospital Food,' 'The Widow Bed,' and to a lesser extent, 'Last Suppers') follows Sara Bellenden, an artist who is also a reluctant restaurateur and food critic. In this installment, Sara's estranged husband dies unexpectedly, leaving her to run their restaurant, which just happens to be one of the only ones in town.
