This is a story of a young woman, Lizzie, who learns that the family she has always known isn't her true family at all. The narrator's voice is clear and beautiful, and it was easy to get lost in the story listening to this audiobook. In just 5 hours, I finished reading this book.

Aveline's life changes with one fateful night when King Henry dies and she becomes a part of a bloody battle between her father, Archbishop Robert and her brother Louis' claim on the throne. Though this novel seems like it would be heavy on history, it's actually very easy to follow.
