One day she meets Eddie, the older brother of her best friend from back home, who invites her along with his friends to a rave. But it turns out that he's not all he seems. His friends are thieves and have been stealing rare books by night to sell them on the black market. Billie struggles to keep on the right side of the law while chasing down Eddie and trying to get the stolen books back before they're sold on the black market.

The Lantern Men is a haunting, sad story about a British woman who immigrates to the United States with her young daughter. They end up in a town that seems almost abandoned and soon realize why. The town's residents are all disappearing and the mystery of what's happening starts to unravel. I think this story is not just for people that enjoy dystopian literature because it has elements of suspense, horror, and science fiction. It also has themes of immigration, poverty, and family which makes it an interesting read for anyone that wants to explore those topics as well.

It is a story about two children, Martha and Tom, who find a lantern light in the woods on their way to school one day, and bring it home. The next day they use the lantern to explore the forest around their house. One night as they are sitting by firelight watching a movie under their new discovery, they hear voices coming from what sounds like another world.

"The Lantern Men" is a novel about the war and what it did to the people. It follows two characters, Tom, an engine-driver, who has been laid off from the railway due to an accident, and Alice, an artist whose husband died during the war. After meeting in a pub they start their adventures together throughout England. This was one of my favorite books because it is such a heartwarming story.
