The Innovator's Dilemma. Warum etablierte Unternehmen den Wettbewerb um bahnbrechende Innovationen verlieren Free Audiobook Download by Clayton M. Christensen
Although established companies are equipped to reach the top of their markets and make money, they often fail when competing with innovative start-up businesses. The Innovator's Dilemma traces the reason for this phenomenon by examining the rising number of innovations at the cost of established companies. On one hand, developing new ideas is a difficult task that requires inventing something out of thin air. In his seminal book, The Innovator's Dilemma, Clayton M. Christensen introduced the concepts of disruptive innovation and the sustaining versus disruptive innovation dichotomy. Disruptive innovations are those that change an existing market while sustaining innovations are those that will improve a company's performance without making it obsolete. These two innovation types were deemed the 'winners' in the "Shifting From Competition to Cooperation" section in chapter 8 titled "Innovating for Customer Value".
