The Half Sister: A Novel is a suspenseful novel where the protagonist, Amy, has to deal with her brother's death and the guilt she feels for not visiting him more often. The narrator's voice sounded a little too young to be reading a novel like this but it didn't take away from the story.
Kristin Atherton's voice is perfect for the Half Sister Audiobook. She can pace a story, she can capture the essence of a character without being overbearing. She was born to read this story and transport you into it.
In this audiobook, the narrator provides an excellent voice for her character. It's clear that she has experience in reading serious literature. She also did a good job at making sure that the reader understood the subtleties of Alison and the other characters. The story is set in Sudan where kids are being kidnapped and sold on the market as slaves to feed their families. In order to get away from this area, Alison goes into hiding with her half sister, who is much younger than her.

In the novel "The Half Sister", written by Sandie Jones, the protagonist Della flies to Ireland in order to find her missing half sister. She has been searching for years but has no leads which is why she decides to go on a boat ride from Ireland. Once she gets on the boat, however, she meets a man who tells her that he has seen Della before and that Della's sister is living in Ireland. Atherton does an excellent job of narrating this book that tells the story of what happens when two sisters meet each other for the first time after so many years of being apart.

In order to fill the hole in her heart that Ivy left behind, Bea becomes obsessed with finding out more about Sybil. As she begins to explore the childhood she never knew she had, things start to unravel quickly and it soon becomes clear that this is not going to be easy for anyone involved.
