Mark takes care of him, believing he has found someone who can help him make sense of past events. Along their way, they find out that what is happening in the world outside is just as chaotic as what was happening inside their heads.

It tells the story of a group of explorers who have just crossed North America's most treacherous mountain range when they are forced to take shelter in an abandoned mine.
