The Final Day Free Audiobook Download by William R. Forstchen

As the radiation from the nuclear power plant continues to spread across the world, only one man can stop it. But to do so he must journey from Berlin to Washington D.C., which will now be a city of death and destruction. His task is made even more difficult by the millions of people who have already died and his personal feelings for those who remain in this damned world.

Forstchen has created a post-apocalyptic novel that could serve as an appropriate read for those who are looking for an end-of-the-world adventure.

In the final day, humanity is beset by monsters, who have been following mankind's every move for centuries. The Endtimes are upon us and the days left to live are few. As the world falls apart around us, survivors must struggle with questions of faith and facing their own mortality before they can hope to survive.

The Final Day is the fourth book in author William R. Forstchen's World War III series, a series of alternate history books featuring a global war fought not between nations, but rather among catastrophic scenarios. The series is set in an Earth without technological development during the 20th century due to fear of what technology might bring and a new environment of perpetual global war for control of scarce resources.

The Final Day is the first book in a new series, World War III. Forstchen has adapted his novel for home consumption with a simple script, clear narration and a compelling story line. It begins on the morning of December 25th, 2020 (a day before Christmas). American forces have been called upon to defend the US from an attack by China, which has spread terror across the globe. The US is losing the war and it seems hopeless to defend it homeland and those who have family members who may be targeted if the Chinese take America.

William R. Forstchen's novel is a very gripping and captivating book. I was struggling to put it down because the story is so compelling, but it also has a lot of emotional impact. It's difficult to pinpoint what love means in this novel, which I think is both a symptom of the modern age, and something that makes the book so interesting and worth reading.
