The Fates Divide is a fantasy novel that follows the lives of four cousins who are not human. The story begins when the Leviathans, beings shrouded in mystery, escape from their prison and divide the world into four sections. Two sections receive the Leviathans ushering in an era of peace and prosperity for those living there. One section is ravaged by war and greed. In order to fulfill their destiny, the group must learn to navigate this new reality.

Many audiobooks these days are read by the author themselves. It's an interesting way to do it because they are able to add their own inflection and make the story come alive with their voice. This audiobook is narrated by four different narrators, so you won't find any similarities between them as they read their individual parts. There was a little bit of a confusion at first with my listening because there were so many different voices, but it quickly became easier when I focused on one narrator for each part of the story.

‘The Fates Divide’ is a dystopian novel about 16-year-old Cassia who lives in the same house with her family. Her parents are members of the Society, which is controlled by the Fates, three mythical beings that control when people die.
