In Nevermoor, the children are taken, taken from their homes and families for a dark reason. They are stolen, leaving parents and siblings in agonizing pain. The narrator goes on to explain that they're looking for a child named Hannah who was just kidnapped from her bedroom.

She takes the baby back to her family's farm, only to find out that the baby is actually a 20-year-old raised by wolves who has escaped captivity.
