The Body in the Library: A Miss Marple Mystery Free Audiobook Download by Agatha Christie

'Stephanie Cole' does a great job narrating the audiobook for 'The Body in the Library: A Miss Marple Mystery'. The narrator does a great job of making the listener feel like they are indeed listening to a mystery story. I would recommend this book and audio book to anyone who enjoys murder mysteries or Agatha Christie's books!

Murder with a subtle twist, that has to be one of my favourite stories by A. Christie. It's such a clever mystery set at an English country estate. It features intelligent sleuth Miss Marple and her sidekick, the vicar's wife Rhoda Llewellyn (or 'Dolly' as she is called in the story).

Miss Marple is a wealthy old woman who has been staying at her country home in St. Mary Mead to escape the winter cold. She spends her time knitting, reading, and working on a mystery novel that she has not finished since her eyesight began to fail. One night while she is reading, she hears a man's cry for help just outside of the library! Miss Marple goes to investigate and finds a body there in the snow. The body was identified as one of the townspeople who was not seen for several months so it's clear that something terrible has happened!

In Christie's highly acclaimed Miss Marple mystery, a body has been found in a locked library. The police are baffled about the motive for the killing but Miss Marple knows of a possible motive. There is also the question of what happened to the body? Is it still there or was it carried away?

Miss Marple has been asked by a young woman to help clear her name. She was accused of stealing a valuable romantic novel after she found it in the public library. Marple agrees and finds herself questioning the librarians, the woman's mother and even the man who wanted to marry her.

The Body in the Library: A Miss Marple Mystery is a novel by Agatha Christie, first published in Britain on 4 December 1936. The mystery involves an anonymous letter which leads readers to believe that a murder may have taken place at a country house library. All the circumstances of the case require several people with different motives and secrets; this makes it an ideal case for Miss Marple.
