The Blood Mirror is a fantasy series about a prince who is also an assassin and a woman who is on the run for her life. After being caught in the act of killing a man, our hero can't remember anything from before he wakes up in his own palace. The only clue to his past that he has is written by his so-called mentor, the god Audaz. His task falls on the shoulders of the disgraced Scathach, who may have been more than she appears.

Simon Vance does an amazing job narrating the audiobook version of The Blood Mirror. Brent Weeks has a unique style of writing that is broken up into different sections, making it difficult to follow at first. I think Simon Vance did a great job of translating this style into his narration.

Simon Vance's narration of the audiobook made me feel like I was listening to it in Brent Weeks' world and helped me appreciate this terrific novel.

The Blood Mirror is the final book in Brent Weeks The Night Angel trilogy. Unlike the first two books in this series, the focus of this book is not on magic, but rather politics and intrigue. The narration was great, but I would have liked to hear more backstory from Weeks himself.
