I'm not a fan of the "coming of age" genre, but this book was different. The Beauty of Darkness is a paranormal novel that immediately draws you in with a man named Hunter. He's been locked away in darkness and has only ever seen what he can touch, feel, pick up and see with his eyes. Hunter is an outcast from society and has always felt like an outsider because he is different. This may seem like it would be a typical story about coming out of your shell, but it's anything but that. It does have romance, though the story isn't solely focused on that aspect.

A man's dark beauty is the same as a woman's light beauty. The Beauty of Darkness is one of those books that you couldn't put down till the very end. The book has mystery, adventure, and romance all wrapped into a great story. It will leave you wanting more from this mysterious character named Tristan.
