The Appalachian Trail: A Biography Free Audiobook Download by Philip D'anieri

The Appalachian Trail is a hiking trail that crosses the United States from the bottom of Florida to the top of Maine. It is considered to be one of America's most prestigious and difficult trails. Many have attempted this hike, but few have completed it.

The Appalachian Trail: A Biography is the true story of the trail's creator Philip D'Anieri and his struggles with the Appalachian Trail. When he started, he was naive and ill-prepared for what was ahead of him. He was unable to get a job in his field because his college degree was not recognized by anyone for many years. When he finally made it to Washington D.C., he discovered that there was no government assistance available to help people make their way across America on foot. He had to dig deep into his own pocket, borrow money from relatives, and sell off much of his own property in order to make the trip possible.

"Philip D'anieri" by Jason Culp is a moving, detailed biography of the Appalachian Trail. The reader follows the trail right through Philip's life as he hikes it for many years, from a young boy all the way to an old man. There is not a lot of dialogue, so the audiobook must be read with care as there is no way to go back and reread any sections. However, this book has been very inspirational in my own hike on the trail with my friends. I highly recommend it!

Born in a log cabin on the Appalachian Trail, Philip D'Anieri's life was shaped by the land and people he loved. He wrote his autobiography so that others might know of the beauty, grandeur, and unyielding spirit of the journey across America's most famous footpath.

The Appalachian Trail has been the single most important and influential factor in shaping the life of its hikers since it was charted for the first time in 1825. In a sense, the Trail is to America what Mount Everest is to Nepal: an icon that has become synonymous with a country's natural beauty, history, culture and many values. Regardless of your level of experience or ability, you'll find plenty of action packed adventures along the way.

The Appalachian Trail: A Biography is a work that delves deep into the history of one of America's most famous trails. The audiobook narrates over 50 years of the story through the eyes of Philip D'Anieri, who is not just a thru-hiker but also an ecologist and journalist.
