The Andromeda Evolution is a science fiction tale about the alien race that came to Earth in ancient times and left their microbial genetic code behind, which is now found in human DNA. They are known as Ceti eons before our time, when they were stranded on Earth after a war with another alien species. The story follows a civilization of humans who have been genetically altered by the microbes and must find a way back to their home world.

The Andromeda Evolution has been on my TBR list for a while, so when I discovered that it was available as an audiobook, I immediately had to get it. I have not been disappointed by this science fiction novel at all. The Andromeda is a massive space station that houses humans in hibernation and is headed toward another galaxy. The hibernation process gives the people of the station time to figure out how to live in a different environment but doesn't work too well for some people who are more emotional or sensitive. I enjoyed the perspective from one of these people and would recommend this book to anyone looking for science fiction with strong female characters as well as plenty of action and mystery.
