Sweet Black Waves is a collection of poems by Kristina Pérez. The narrator, Lucy Rayner, has narrated most of Pérez's work. This audiobook is beautifully done. Highly recommended.

Lucy Rayner narrates this audiobook. In the beginning, she has a southern accent that starts to fade after a while. The audiobook has some weird pauses in it where I don't know if it was recorded on a recorder or if something happened with the recording. There were also a few names that were mispronounced throughout.

Sweet Black Waves is a powerful audiobook that will pull you in from the beginning. Lucy Rayner narrates and she does an amazing job. I am going to buy this audiobook soon and listen as often as possible.

Lucy Rayner is an author, poet and a long time Brit who now resides in Mexico. Her first novel was published in 1992 titled 'The Pure Land'. Her latest work is a memoir titled 'Sweet Black Waves: My Puerto Masculinea Memoir'. In this book she tells the story of living in Mexico, falling in love and developing a family with her husband. Lucy also talks about her struggles with mental health issues.
