Summer Island Free Audiobook Download by Kristin Hannah
This is a story about how two sisters are torn between their own desires and family obligations. The novel takes on themes of immigration, feminism, and the American Dream.
I was looking for a short audiobook to listen to on my way home from work. I ended up listening to the whole audiobook on the bus which made me a little unhappy but it was still an entertaining, heart-wrenching story.
The audiobook tells a story of love, miracles, loss, and hope. It is a timeless story that will always be relevant because life is never easy and everyone has their own struggles to embrace. When the protagonist leaves her old life behind for a new one on an island in the middle of nowhere, she becomes intrigued by all the mysteries it holds and finds herself yearning for answers from the past.
As a long-time fan of the author, it was interesting to try an audiobook. I enjoyed listening to the story, but found myself rewinding when I heard Joyce Bean narrate because she did not do a very good job. I was disappointed in how inaccurate her voice sounded, but it didn't ruin my overall experience with the audiobook.
The audiobook is narrated by Joyce Bean, who is not a professional narrator, but it is easy to listen to her narration and feel her enthusiasm for the book. It would be better if the narrator was a professional narrator because the quality of the audio could have been better.
