Straight Into Darkness Free Audiobook Download by Faye Kellerman
In Straight Into Darkness, crime reporter Peter Decker is called in to help solve a thirty-year-old murder of a young woman. The investigation will lead the detective and his team through the dark alleys and backstreets of LA's Chinatown as well as several miles into the desert outside town where they discover evidence that indicates the murder may not have been an isolated incident.
Faye Kellerman is back with a riveting new mystery in her much-loved series, but this time the crime begins in darkness and confusion. What unfolds is a gripping story of one man's struggle between his past and his conscience, especially when so many around him seem to be involved. It's like something out of a twisted fairytale — until it turns into something much more sinister.
Straight Into Darkness is a very interesting book. The audiobook was done by the voice of Paul Michael, so the narration was excellent. I liked how he blended different accents and languages to make it seem more realistic. The book is a mystery, which became really interesting listening to it.
The story is told from the point of view of a policeman named Peter Decker who over the course of his career is partnered with a number of other characters. One such partner is a psychologist named Alex Cooper, who becomes something more than just his co-worker when she falls in love with him.
