This audiobook is the 3rd in a series of novels by author CJ Box. The novel begins when Chief Joe Leaphorn, a Navajo Tribal Police detective, receives a call from his uncle telling him to come investigate a shooting on their land. His cousin is killed and Leaphorn must investigate who could have been the assailant before someone else dies.

[David Chandler] is one of my favorites. I've listened to all his books and found him most easy to follow. The stories have a little bit of everything in them, romance, suspense, with a touch of humor.

The story revolves around a very popular TV show on the history of firearms and takes the audience to the turn of the century. There are many interesting twists and turns that keep the listener or reader on their toes.
