She's Too Pretty to Burn Free Audiobook Download by Wendy Heard

Wendy Heard is a novel told from three different perspectives. In the beginning, Frankie is a high school student who makes a "friend" after catching her in the act of selling weed. Later on, Bailey finds out she has cancer and wants to go home for Christmas because her family will be there to support her. Stephen is an accident victim who wakes up in the hospital and realizes that he has been hit by a car. The three stories intertwine nicely and it's hard not to become emotionally invested in the characters.

She's Too Pretty to Burn is a book about sixteen-year-old Paige Weaver who is dealing with the aftershocks of her father's death, a broken home, and high school. After being expelled from her last school, Paige moves in with her aunt, who sends her to live with her brother. Then she meets Tony Dell, an older guy that begins to have an effect on Paige. Told in alternating chapters, She's Too Pretty to Burn tells the story of what happens when you're too pretty to burn, when beauty comes at a cost.

She's Too Pretty to Burn is a really great book, and I love the Audiobook! Frankie Corzo is perfect as the narrator. He makes my heart break and then put me right back together again. I love his voice so much. And he voices every other character in the book too. Its so diverse and perfect for this story. Bailey Carr does such an incredible job with the female characters in this story; she's beautiful, powerful, sexy, but also vulnerable and has depth. Stephen Dexter does an amazing job with all of the male characters in the book (and all of them sound sexy).

Wendy Heard's story about a girl who is almost burnt as a sacrifice for her family's evil god is told in a very interesting way. The audiobook is narrated by three of the four main characters, Frankie, Bailey and Stephen. Frankie tells the story from when she was a child learning the truth about how she was going to be burnt because she was too pretty to burn. The alternating chapters between Frankie and Bailey are interesting because you get two separate perspectives on what happened including their own thoughts on what they were thinking and feeling at the time.

A group of firemen is taking a break between shifts. They are sitting around the fire truck chatting about their girl friends. One by one, the men start to tell stories about their love interests and how great life is with them. Finally, one of them says "Hey! I have an idea! If we burn Isabelle's house down, then we can get rid of her and be together!" The rest of them agree and they set up a plan to burn Isabelle's house down at 5:00pm that day. At 5:00pm, Isabelle comes home from school and luckily gets out of the house before it burns down.

She's Too Pretty to Burn was written by Wendy Heard and is the story of what it would be like if everyone felt the need to be pretty. Written in third person perspective, the book follows a high school girl named Jane who has always been told she's too plain and not pretty enough. One day she wakes up and decides that she is going to burn all her un-pretty clothes and transform herself into a beautiful person. She starts getting different compliments on how she looks with her new improved appearance. The story has a lot of commentary about how we overly focus on our physical appearances, how ageism plays a role in shaping our opinions on beauty, and more.
