I've been a Linda Howard fan since the very beginning. I thought she was a great author with a unique writing style and heart-wrenching stories that sucked me in from the first line to the last. So when I found out that this book had both male and female lead characters, I knew I had to have it. And boy am I glad I did! At first, it seemed like this might be a Nora Roberts book with a male protagonist, but quickly morphed into something completely different that's light on romance, heavy on suspense and intense character development.
