Scorpius Free Audiobook Download by John Gardner
Scorpius audiobook is narrated by Simon Vance, who does a great job with the narration. If you do not mind listening to an older book about magic and science, I would recommend this audiobook.
If you enjoy science fiction and fantasy, you will find a lot to love in this classic novel. The book is set in the fictional universe of Eos, which is Earth and Mars combined. Readers will be able to pick up on references to Greek and Roman mythology as well as elements from other cultures such as Egyptian, Chinese, or Mesopotamian.
Scorpius is a darkly comical story about the Roman emperor Nero being forced to commit suicide. The emperor was not an evil person, he just got mixed up with some bad people and ended up having to kill his own family. As he's dying, he's surrounded by people who are plotting against him and one of them poisons him with a scorpion. It's really morbid but it's also really good and I would recommend listening to it if you like audiobooks or historical fiction.
Scorpius is narrated by 'Simon Vance' who does an amazing job. He has a beautiful voice and accent that really helps the listener feel like they're in the story as it moves along. I especially loved his narration of the opening chapter which was chilling and just got me hooked on this book right away.
"When I was a boy, in the first year of our schooldays at Hogwarts, I was put into Slytherin. Albus Dumbledore said it would teach me strength. He never said anything about the water."
Scorpius is an audiobook written by John Gardner. The novel is narrated by Simon Vance, who has also read other audiobooks such as "The Gunslinger" and "The Time Machine".
