Robicheaux: A Novel Free Audiobook Download by James Lee Burke
The book is narrated by 'Will Patton', which I have to say was a good decision on the author's part. Patton does a wonderful job of conveying the different emotions of the characters. He really has this ability to grab your attention and make you empathize with his characters.
The book is narrated by Will Patton, who does a great job of bringing the Robicheaux character to life. There's also some cool music that's integrated into the narration.
After a brief discussion about Robicheaux’s time in the Vietnam War, the story becomes more about his family and his journey through Huey Long’s Louisiana. Burke masterfully blends the personal and political into one lush novel that covers everything from murder to racism to religion with a unique perspective.
James Lee Burke is a master storyteller, and the audiobook of Robicheaux is no different. It's a fast-paced novel that tells the story of Dave Robicheaux, an ex-cop turned private investigator with a bit of a drinking problem. The book is narrated by Will Patton, who does a truly amazing job with this complex character.
Will Patton brings an intensity to the voice of C.W. Robicheaux that make it impossible to stop listening, a voice that keeps you hanging on in suspense as the story progresses and we learn more bout this complicated man. He is a flawed character with a complex past who is trying to put his life back together by helping other people, but even he has his dark side.
Robicheaux: A Novel by James Lee Burke is a gripping, page-turning mystery of the bayou. It's now available as an audiobook download on Audible.
