"Ride the Wind" by Lucia St. Clair Robson is a beautifully written story about an escaped slave who finds her freedom through the wind. The descriptive language and poetic phrases will have you in awe throughout the book. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for an uplifting and encouraging story.

The audio book starts off with the protagonist, Lucia, driving along a desert road. The reader learns that Lucia is a young woman whose father has disappeared. Soon after the beginning of the book we learn that she is on her way to find him when suddenly she crashes her car into a disabled truck and when she awakes from being unconscious she finds herself in a place where it looks like she was being lead in an airport terminal.

This is a young-adult historical fiction novel by Lucia St. Clair Robson. It tells the story of two French girls, Mariette and Angela, who are best friends during World War II. The two girls are sent to live with Mariette's family in Paris while their father is away fighting in the war. They try to maintain their sense of normalcy while being surrounded by Nazis and upheaval.

Ride The Wind is the second book in the Robinson Crusoe series by the British author Ian Johnston and narrated by Laurie Klein. It follows a young Crusoe who, with his family, escapes from his home of London to live at a remote place in England. A story of adventure, survival and growth, it can be read as an exciting prequel to Robinson Crusoe for both younger children and adults alike.

The most important advantage is the suspense. The story is told by alternating chapters that present the different points of view of the main characters, and since you don't know who is telling their side of the story at any given time, every chapter might as well be a page-turner.
