Requiem Free Audiobook Download by Lauren Oliver
The audiobook of the book is narrated by Sarah Drew, and the production quality is great. The author even recorded an introduction that's read at the beginning of each chapter, which I personally found to be very interesting. The whole book is set in this sort of dystopian future where everyone has their memories wiped clean every year and people aren't allowed to feel or think too much about anything that happened before.
Requiem is a dystopian novel. Based in a future where a pandemic has spread and killed most of the population, it's now up to sixteen-year old Lena to save her family. The disease, which has been dubbed "Requiem", starts with death but progresses quickly into nothing short of insanity. Nothing is how it should be and no one can be trusted as some people transform into hideous monsters and others develop strange mutations.
Requiem by Lauren Oliver is a dystopian novel that follows a sixteen year old girl named Maria as she escapes to her hometown along with her best friend and the boy who may or may not be her love interest. After the death of her father, Maria must decide whether or not to trust the government when they hunt down "infected" people.
When sixteen-year-old Lena is suddenly uprooted from her life in San Francisco with her mom and younger brother and brought to the small town of Requiem, she feels lost. She doesn't know anyone and she's not sure how to fit in. But then she meets a group of four girls who quickly welcome her into their group and become best friends. When one of them dies mysteriously, Lena has to decide what the secret means for her own life before it's too late.
Sometimes the things that we can do are more powerful than those that we cannot. It's the idea behind this audiobook, and its narrator 'Sarah Drew'. Listen to a heartbreaking story of love, loss, and life as you listen to this audiobook narrated by Sarah Drew.
The audiobook has a catchy new cover, the first of its kind for this book. It's subtle, almost like a photo filter but unique in it's appearance. The cover shows Lia's eyes, her reflection in the window right behind her with the moon shining through it. It's easy to see why she would feel safe there as if it were an escape from everything else around her.
