I took a chance on a new-to-me author and this is the first book of hers that I have read. It is not one to go into without knowing what you are getting but once I found out, it was worth it. And, I'll tell you how! The narrator's voice was the perfect fit for this story. She gave each character just enough grit to make them believable and realistic with an edge that made it all scary.
