This third installment of the series follows Tennyson and her team as they investigate a string of gruesome murders involving street prostitutes.

Set in the early 1990s, it follows the story of detective Joanna Beauchamp who's been promoted to the rank of Inspector. She's the first woman ever to achieve this rank and finds herself struggling with sexism around every corner.

Rachel Atkins is an actress, voiceover artist, and audiobook narrator. She graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with a BA in Acting. She attended the London Academy of Theatre Arts where she studied mime and theatre skills. She has been performing since the age of 9 and toured as a solo singer with Welsh National Youth Opera.

The mystery is solved by the return of one of Helen's most dangerous opponents, Samantha Kidd. She has become a remorseless serial killer who specializes in killing families and making them suffer. The story deals with how Helen copes with her own family as she tries to stop Samantha before she strikes again.
