Pretties Free Audiobook Download by Scott Westerfeld

Emily Tremaine's performance of this audiobook is fantastic, and I would've been completely content with just her reading it. She does an amazing job of balancing the strong sense of humor of the book and the drama as well. But it also helps that she's a pretty girl, which lends itself to more-than-reasonable casting in this aspect.

This book is about a teen girl who's desperate for her first kiss. She seems to have the world in her hands, but she doesn't know who to trust and it's leading to a lot of trouble. Some of the characters in this book, but mostly the protagonist, are really likeable.

Scott Westerfeld is an author of young adult speculative fiction and science fiction novels, including Leviathan and Goliath. Emily Tremaine is a narrator of audiobooks, including books by Scott Westerfeld.

In Pretties, the first book in Scott Westerfeld's trilogy, a strange new disease called "Pretty" has been sweeping across the globe. People who are infected with Pretty find that their bodies slowly begin morphing into something beautiful and perfect. It doesn't take long before the world is divided by those who have been cured of the disease and those who are still contagious. When protagonist Celine, a "cured" woman, rescues Lita, an infected girl in Africa, they embark on a deadly journey to escape their pursuers and find out exactly what is going on with this impossible new plague.

Pretties by Scott Westerfeld is a dystopian novel about the world in which society has divided into two, one where everything is controlled by the super-beautiful, and another where everyone else lives in squalor. The story follows a girl who wants to go from being the ugly duckling to being beautiful and what she learns along the way.
