I’ll be honest, I had a hard time getting into this book. The main character Kat is unapologetic and unbelievably rude to people she does not like, which made most of the characters that were in the story unlikable. What was the best part about the book? Well, I liked the overall plotline, With that said, if you look past all of the drama and Kat’s personality, you'll find a good world filled with magic and adventure.

The story continues from where it left off with the 1st book, Blood Hollow. Katy is going through a lot of changes and trying to figure out who she is without any serious guidance. She feels like she has lost everything that matters to her in Blood Hollow, but when she starts seeing things, does she really know?

With a powerful and absorbing read, the second novel in the Kat Dubois Chronicles, Outcast, continues to deliver mystery, suspense, and awe as we are caught up in Kat's journey.
