Max Lucado's newest work of fiction, On the Anvil, tells the story of a woman who at the age of 22 tries to find her way back to God. The story is set in modern America and follows detective Jude, who has never been saved but struggles with all sorts of questions about faith. On the Anvil is an adventure through life, faith and the journey of becoming all that God wants you to be. Lucado uses his experiences and biblical references to offer a positive perspective on how we can change our lives for the better. On the Anvil, America's best-selling author Max Lucado tells the story of a master sculptor and his apprentice, who are charged with shaping a life-size figure from a block of marble. But because they lack the artistic skill needed to carry out this task, the apprentice is driven by an obsession that leads him down an increasingly dark path until he finally realizes that the world is not shaped by God but by man.

This audiobook, written by Max Lucado, is a fictional story about a young boy who is taken away from his home by an outlaw. This is the only book that I have read and listened to and I cannot stop thinking about it since I first began listening to it. It was so good that I wished that it was real because the characters are so lifelike and the situation at hand is so believable.

This audiobook is a collection of max Lucado's sermons, speeches and articles and showcases Lucado's more serious and spiritual side. It has often been compared to his best selling book Preaching to the Choir: Sermons on the Parables of Jesus.

The life of a regular guy is always interesting. The question is, what does God want from the regular guy? Max Lucado has written about this very topic in his book "On the Anvil: Being Shaped Into God's Image". This book follows a man named 'Mike' who feels trapped in his life. Mike's cousin tells him he needs to seek out God's hand and walk with Him, but Mike is not so sure he believes in God anymore. After putting together some really good reasons as to why people should trust that He exists, it drives Mike to places like Hell and Heaven to find some answers for himself.
